Steam Points Shop Game Profiles Are a Scam

There are new collections in the steam points shop called "game profiles" which include multiple animated items for a higher price, from what it seems they're 10k points ($100 USD). The problem with them is that they are required for you to buy the WHOLE COLLECTION[i.imgur.com] to get specific items from that pack. For example, If I want this cyberpunk avatar boarder, I need to buy the whole pack and waste 10k for things I don't want, since it's exclusive to the pack, and not available anywhere else on the points shop.

I think this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and an outright scam to anyone who wants 1 of these items without blowing 10k points on all of it, since the items in the point shop are already overpriced to begin with. This is really overpriced, and anti-consumer.

The entire profile is used together thus you cannot just use one item like that anyway it seems.

In either case you are not spending money for these items but on the games themselves as the points shop items are a bonus.

But it's designed that way, so you have to spend 10k points, since it's proof they could be separate by other options alone in the points shop. I have some of the games in the game collection, and I did not receive any of them, nor do you get the game for buying these packs, vice versa. Also some games in there are F2P games. This is all profile exclusive items. I see nowhere where it says that any games are included, and if they are, then they're still heavily overpriced.

I think you misunderstood what "Game profiles" are. They're profile packs designed from games, not that the title literally means that you'll get a game when you purchase the pack, otherwise that'd be even more of a scam as I said since some games in there are F2P like CSGO.

Any game dev can make them, if they choose to. These are just the first to opt into the bundles.

It is. They made them exclusively for the new game profiles. Ask the game devs to make them separately.

I understand what it means and it's just customization for your profile however they do not cost any money as points shop is a bonus for purchasing goods or services from steam and a reward.

It's a free reward you get and if you don't like the cost of some things simply don't get them however complaining over the cost of something you get for free with a regular purchase is not going to work very well.

Do you not realize how much 10k points is? 10k steam points = $100 USD here, which is many games in one. Who would blow all of their points on something like that? What you refuse to see is even if they weren't overpriced, there are separate components of the bundle that is blocked by a 10k point paywall. I can complain about anything I don't like, just as you can complain about what I'm complaining about. This price point for those items is absurd.

Valve are the ones who introduced the game profiles, not the developers. The devs choose what is put in there yes, but not if it's available out of the collection or not.
