Is using SAM to unlock achievement then remove them block them if you want to get them honestly ?
I have a friend that used SAM just to test it on a new game he add 3 achievements on it, he got all the others achievements using SAM then he removed them all then he added the few ones he got playing the game.
My question is do it borken all the others achievements that he cant get them except by using SAM again ?
I and he are hunters he is not a achievement cheater just wanted to see how it work if it really was that easy to get achievements for cheaters... thanks for answering please

Yeah, like IFIYGD, my impression is SAM can only “remove” achievements client-side, and server-side data remains unchanged—though there are a few games that allow one to relock achievements (TF2, e. g.?) and those may not be so set-in-stone.

My information, though, is secondhand.

Very few developers issue bans for use of SAM.

.... is not he just made a big mistake by testing it actually he juste wanted to remove some achievements of a game he dont want to have on his achievements games list

One mostly cannot (if at at all) barber their completion stat in such a way.

I don't know, since I don;t use SAM. But once you unlock achievements on Steam, they don't get removed from your profile or Steam data. The only way you and they can know for sue is to either try it, or go to wherever they downloaded the software from and see if the developers or anyone else who uses the software can answer.
I am guessing "No, it won't work that way.", but I could be wrong. Check with the devs.

I see so you also think the only way now to get them is using SAM again actualy i have heard someone saying that too, i will tell him to ask the devs i didnt know you could talk with them or that it will take months to have an reply + i think he is also afraid to ask devs since he dont want to get banned that they think he is a cheater that want 100% the achievements even he is not he just made a big mistake by testing it actually he juste wanted to remove some achievements of a game he dont want to have on his achievements games list

I was asking if my friend can get the achievement by playing the game even if he got all of them using SAM then removed them since he want to get all the achievement honestly.

I was thinking you mean asking the game devs since the SAM devs i dont think they can do anything about that right ?
Or i am wrong ? also didnt the SAM devs are no more ? i have heard that SAM is safe because the achieements system didnt have change for a while but if they change it then SAM will be not safe anymore and probably will not get an update

But if you think its a good idea i ll also ask the SAM devs first i ll try to find them thanks for the information bro
Imagine using a third party program to get the achievements for a game without actually playing the game in order to get them yourself.
