Does it feel like awards don't really ever happen?
I see reviews, posts...etc with tons of awards. But it doesn't seem many get them. Do you have to do something special to get them? Or am I just boring with my posts and reviews?

Rewards require points, and points are obtained through purchases. Thus, there's a limited number of points available, and most people will prefer to use them on more "useful" things, or they are ignoring them completely.

"Awards" are the least useful thing you can do with points -- you get nothing.

The Steam community has awarded you with 113 awards. People are really into what you're adding to the community! Congrats!

You have plenty of awards, what are you talking about?

Most were from one post I made early on with Cyberpunk I believe. Other then that you don't see them often. Could also be my reviews are boring. lol

You have to contribute something that other people find worthy of a reward.

It's almost like people didn't find them award worthy. Go figure.

Some level of interest in the content, mostly luck and the snowball effect. You see it on display on places like Reddit really well, where the same content posted like 10 times gets no attention, until a few reposts later, it gets 10k upvotes seemingly out of nowhere, with tons of those paid-emojis on top.

short funny review = many awards :lorflower:

long boring reviews = no awards :reexcited:

you have "113 awards".. is that not enough?

No. I need a minimum of 1,000 to feel worthy.

You can buy awards. 300 award ~ 60-100 gems, that would be faster :ZA4head:

there are many players who are selling them https://steamcommunity.com/groups/tradingcards/discussions/

You can not TRADE awards, so do it with your own risk :reexcited:

The good side is that you can pick what awards you want. Or where, like on screenshots or on reviews / profile

The bad side is that it's NOT free :reexcited:

Or you can go awards for awards.

They come with time. And the more active you are in different communities, the better your chances are. Every so often I get the email stating something(s) of mine got award(s).

It's just luck at this point.

go to a forum of a game that has denuvo and make an anti-denuvo post.

say things like THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE IN THE YEAR 2021 when referring to game features. etc...

basically troll and meme posts get the awards but you can't cross the line into something that will be deleted.

I don't recommend doing this, but if you browse forums you can clearly see those are what gets rewards. Your post has to be overly helpful for that route to work but it does also work. I'd recommend just make quality posts that help people.

Just make a blatantly dumb troll review for a new game and people will spam you with the Jester reward thinking they're pwning you. I saw someone do this for Psychonauts 2 and they're LOADED with awards just because they made a two-sentence negative bait review, lucky bastard.
