Profile Picture bans

I was just recently profile picture banned from someone who reported my profile picture and it took moments for it to happen. They were complaining about it then admitted to reporting afterwards. Not too long after them leaving the game I was in I got profile banned. The profile picture did fall under the guide lines. Yes it was a bit sexually suggestive but nothing nsfw or racist and falls under sfw. The fact that this ban happened in moments makes me think I got banned by a bot even though it is claimed these type of bans are manual(Unless a forum mod was on the server). The fact that someone can just cry about it and get away with it pisses me off.

Contact support to appeal it.

Only support removes them. Game hub mods do not have that power.

If it was removed then it clearly violated the guidelines. A bot won't remove profile pictures, a moderator has to do that manually.

That's not always the case. For this to even happen this fast there would have been multiple reports atleast from what I've read. I've used the profile picture since last year now with no issues till that one guy. I don't think anime violates tos even though I weebed out my profile for an over used joke which clearly someone maliciously false reported over. I'm not the first person to randomly have an acceptable profile abruptly banned either.

You have to understand that Steam is being used by people from age 12 and up. What seems harmless to you might not be considered harmless for underaged Steam users. Best is to aviod any hint of sexual content on public pages including your pofile. That you got away with that picture for a year is simply because nobody reported it and moderators haven't seen it before.

Profile pic report could be more rare, so maybe that's why the action taken from that department can be a lot faster. The usual reports are scam and hack.

Bots don't do this. But repeated reports do, so why are you claiming that 'it was just after that one guy'. You don't know what ANYONE but you is reporting. You're not told who or how many reports come up.

If your name and avatar are both now removed (and with your name being a stream of numbers, that's pretty clearly the case) you must have had numerous reports against both of those for the mods to take note and take action.

Don't upload inappropriate names or avatars.

It was some cringy anime kemono (Basically a japan anime furry hybrid) with nipples covered with heart patches, no naughty bits exposed. Nsfw is when genitals or female nipples are exposed or inappropriate acts being performed(Aka if it's just straight up porn or hentai uncensored). I don't think being barely clothed counts as nsfw, that's like saying a skimpy swim suit is nsfw or very tight clothing counts as nsfw.

So are you telling me, that at a work place such as Meijer or an office complex or really just about any general job that isn't one you own yourself.. You're telling me that the image you're describing would be acceptable in that environment?

NSFW is labeled as it is for a reason >.> Its an image you wouldn't want to show at a workplace, mainly used as a guide for what is deemed unacceptable for most places that require some form of 'professionalism'

Steam allows a lot of customization sure, we are editing our own profiles after all. But we still have to abide by their guidelines which can be subject to change. If I were to change my avatar to any of the NSFW images I have, I'd also get a profile ban.

Sexually suggestive material are generally NSFW, even if nothing is directly shown.
