Well the site you mentioned is a scam site.
Also it is very hard to get a trade ban. You have to be constantly scamming people.
Not really but that doesn't matter.
The only way to get permanently trade banned is to be constantly scamming people. You almost have to go out of your way to get trade banned, especially permanently.
Just because it's been featured on some unofficial competitions and by some YouTubers who only want easy money, doesn't make it legit in any way.
Here is the ban reason! Game marketplaces like Steam, or Nintendo mainly do not tolerate third-party purchases. Nintendo has been banning whole accounts with no appeal or recourse if you purchase from a third-party, so be grateful you only got a trade ban.
Of course, you see people changing their username to that site with "fail" in its name so I guess we can't count on the intelligence of greedy people...
While I never bought any skins or invested any money into that (I find it silly to pay for skins), but I did see LOTS of people do that. I'm pretty sure he got banned for something else. Lots of 3rd part websites were even featured in valve sponsored events in CS afaik
I've lost count of how many users I've seen over the years who have been trade banned because they've accepted a stolen item into their inventory. Valve don't take the 3rd party sites into consideration or any under the table arrangements with these - they only care about what happens through the Steam platform. The market is the only safe and protected entity for such things and everything else should be taken at the users risk.
These sites profit heavily from acquiring stolen items and they can walk away clean with real money with the user picking up the consequences. Unofficial sites and tournaments may have advertised such places but Valve do not do any business with these and most are filtered or have desist orders against them.
I've seen people like you defend such places only to come back months later after they get scammed or phished post-bait. Only ignorant, gullible or scammers will defend them.
Receiving stolen items links your account to the item theft regardless of how you obtained them.
All of the sites of the such, a large amount of users after giving away their login or allowing the API key see their inventories hijacked, and as soon as you lose something through phishing/scamming, it's part of a scam, so receiving items from hijacked accounts or inventories can easily get you banned. But scamming people yourself, is likely more of a reason for receiving a permanent ban.
Look at your posts, you're so defensive of them and spit out ad-like responses that it almost seems like you're being paid to attempt boosting the reputation, but a banned individual trying to boost something only increases the negative reputation further into the toilet.
