Family Sharing Missing Games
Me and a friend are doing the family sharing thing and he has like a tonnnn of games and I am only seeing a third of what he owns. There was a game I wanted to show people I went to visit and its not there, then I asked my friend how many games he has and its not equal to the total number I am seeing. Checked the account settings and everything looks fine. Checked to see if there are any games that don't work with family sharing, and there aren't any. So I am not sure why he can see all of my games but I cant see all of his games.

Not all games are sharable. Examples of unsharable games are games from Ubisoft, EA, Rockstar, etc. Anything that needs a 3rd party login.

I am aware that there are some games that aren't sharable, I said in my post that I was able to check to see what games those were and nothing was coming up. He has 700+ games and I'm only seeing 100 of them so even if that was the case it shouldn't be for that many of his games. I am familiar with the games he has and I don't think that is the issue.

He has some of the jackbox games
witcher
call of duty
overwatch
borderlands

again, theres a place in the family view settings where you can click too see which games arent allowed to be shared and it turns up blank so I assumed I could play all of them. Sorry if the ones I listed are third party log in, Im sure some are but I dont think all 500 games I am not seeing are third party and dont know why I cant see them. Next time my friend is online Ill try to get a more rounded list or ask him specifically about that. Thank you for pointing it out. let me know if you have any other suggestions.

It is possible that the developers/publishers removed them from family sharing.

Can all Steam games be shared with friends and family?
No, due to technical limitations, some Steam games may be unavailable for sharing. For example, titles that require an additional third-party key, account, or subscription in order to play cannot be shared between accounts.

Overwatch isn't on Steam at all so I suppose the question is how many more of the games are ones he doesn't own on Steam that show in his library.

my guess is that whilst doing so you might have accidentally enabled family view (which is basically parental controls) but it is quite easy to get rid of

I'm pretty sure the OP got this sorted out...3 years ago when he posted.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
