Steam unexpected error

So im trying to gift borderlands 3 to a friend but it keeps saying this
"An unexpected error has occurred. Your purchase has not been completed.
Please wait a few minutes and try again.
If you encounter this error repeatedly, please contact Steam Support."
I have contacted steam support to no avail
any suggestions on solution

So its not just me and trying to get D2 Beyond light bought for a friend, the whole gifting side of the store is slammed packed its bugging out

now if you see an issue where it keeps spinning the gift was accepted just it might get stuck there. i know because my friend gifted me a game and i did in return. same issue both sides. now i was able to install the gifted game. if anyone has the issue i mentioned.

I bought load of cards in the last 2 days, loads of times it showed an error even though I did get the card.

Make sure you have no pending/running game downloads.
Go into steam settings, clear the steam cache, and then re-authenticate, should fix this. It tends to for most of these.
