Ban Trade Market for gift card LOL

I received gift cards for the new year from a friend and after activating them, Steam gave me a ban on the marketplace. What's the matter?

The payment method used wasn't verified for the Market before sending the digital gift card.

Correct. The card verification for the Market must happen before sending a digital gift card otherwise the funds sent can't be used on the Market right away.
