Logitech F710 controller
I am hoping someone may be able to help me fix an issue which has recently started happening with my Logitech F710. Up until yesterday (12/12/2020) this was working fine, but it is not syncing with Some Steam Products anymore. It is recognised by windows and works with some games so the issue does not appear to be with the controller. The latest drivers are installed and I have tried re-configuring the controller and removing and reinstalling it. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the games.

GTA V - works fine.
Little Nightmares - doesn't recognise there is a controller attached.
RDR2 - recognises controller but the X/Y and Z axis all seem to point right and the protagonist simply walks around in a circle while the camera spins around.
Jedi Fallen Order - Does not seem to see the controller.

An internet search shows that there seem to be a number of people experiencing similar issues but nothing that seems to fix it.

Please help?

I have a Logitech F310 (the wired version of that controller) and it recently stopped being recognized by Steam for me as well. I've checked in non-Steam games, as well as my OS itself (that being Solus Linux), and the controller is functioning fine; it's only steam that's not seeing it as far as I'm aware.

Disable Steam's input mapper, restart Steam.
AFAIR that gamepad has a physical switch selecting between XInput and DirectInput (or HID, those can be used synonymously in this context). Make sure it's set to XInput.

The issue seems to be somewhere with Steam as the fix would appear to be to start "Big Picture Mode" in steam and then use the controller to exit that mode. The controller then works fine after this.

A bit of a random fix but it works for me. Annoyingly it seems I now need to do this every time I wish to play whereas before my controllers were working fine.

Notice how most if not all of those Games are not STEAM Games that you mentioned worked...

STEAM actually stopped being Controller friendly ever since the Library Update,
that generated many many horrible posts a Day... 300 per day about... It got
many people banned, & many angry...

Some are trying to forget it happened, but it's kinda still around, so anything bad going
into STEAM, can mostly be blamed from that Update...

Ehhh, it was kinda that one Update that turned out to be a bad egg,
but you know... Still lingers from time to time? Ya, oO

Ehh, it's the Future... What more can you expect... If it's not wrong, or bad,
then something else is wrong, some might even claim that it's not bad, that
only we are bad, & we must adjust to it's way of thinking...

Ya, it's just an Update... Bad things come from Updates today...
Don't Update, & you got no problems...

You have to switch that thing to XInput. My girlfriend uses an F710 (the XB ones I got a-plenty are too large for her hands) and when set to XInput, things just work.
Also, disable Steam's input mapper. That will get rid of the switched axis issue.
