Steam controller configuration and GOG game - not compatible or how to explain this?
I'm not sure if I can fix this or if the following behaviour means that Steam controller feature can't work properly with the game I have.
This is the behaviour:
Game doesn't react to any input at all - except while I hold PS/Home button on my controller, then mouse camera movement works with right stick as intended and snipping both sticks to right direction does a specific action in the game for some unknown reason, left mouse click is working too(for every action - only when I keep PS button down all the time). Other buttons in my configuration like WASD have no effect in the game.
For this game I want camera control with right stick, WASD with left stick and left click with a gamepad button.

WHy would you expect the steam controller configurartion to work with something that does nort use STeam?

You can add them as non steam games and get steam controller configs but it has to be run via big picture mode.

Ok, now I got WASD to work without pressing PS button at the same time(dpad option surprisingly works, for wasd I tried every option except dpad so far).
Left click and camera is working perfectly, only problem is that I must still press PS button for these.
Personally I never had the situation that a controller configuration didn't work or with a different result when I'm not in big picture mode.

Alright.
Yeah, it definitely looks like my current non Steam game is not really supported, but the camera movement is now working with buttons and not the mouse movement solution(the internal game controls have optional buttons implemented to move the camera).
Camera movement with up and down buttons is a bit too slow, but I'm confident I can tweak this in the configuration .ini file of this game.
Thanks for all your replies in this topic.
I didn't expect this would work, but this time I had some luck.
