Steam games takin too much space more than from its size requirement

I got 106gb space on my storage and I download Squad that requires 50gb, then while its allocating size it already takes up my 50gb instantly and while its downloading( for example it downloads 1gb, it takes 2-3 gb on my storage space) it takes more than what it shows/needed.

After size allocation theres 52.7gb left and after I downloaded 8.3gb and the remaining space was 40.6gb. If you do the math it doesnt difference well. (52.7-8.3=44.4 considering it takes my 50gb already)

Can someone point me why is that? THANKS!

Downloads are compressed. One may only be 25gb but the files may take up 75gb so users will be required to have substantial space in reserve to accommodate the file size rather than what is the total download size.

The game size was 25gb and its required size was 50gb but it almost take my 100gb. That is what I want to know.

And the download "for example it downloads 1gb, it takes 2-3 gb on my storage space"
it takes more space than it should be
