Best MMORPGs?
Hey all, Pretty straight forward:
What do you think are the best MMORPGs out there to play?
I've been looking around and OFC WoW is at the top of most top-10 lists, but ive played plenty and feel like getting into one.

What are your thoughts?

New world looks good played in the open beta not bad but still needs work. But I am really wanting to try out Ashes of creations when it comes out. Also Classic wow is not bad and when they do classic TBC is going to be good as well same as shadowlands if they dont mess that up. also Final Fantasy XIV a little flashy but not a bad game as well.

Thanks! Though I've seen plenty of mmo lists. Just wondering what everyone thinks is the best, in their opinion. :)

Im waiting for Ashes of Creation, Wow Classic is awesome if you play with friends but as the years go by, its hard to go tryhard
I played riders of Icarus when it was still in beta and it was awesome, haven't played since release or transfer to a new publisher. I've sunk some time into Tera and its pretty ok.

I've never heard of AoC, I'll look into it.

Still curious what more people think. There are plenty out there! :D

Star Trek online is a MMO and is free on steam

https://store.steampowered.com/app/9900/Star_Trek_Online/ suppose to be pretty good if your a star trek fan

Or you could always try world of tanks, its classed as a MMO for what ever reason but its more like team deathmatch with leveling tanks in it.

The genre is pretty dead these days sadly.

Wow, ESO, Eve Online and old school Runescape all have healthy populations, I imagine most others arent amazing population wise these days (Maybe the old republic?)

I look into new MMOs a few times a year and it always feels like looking in the fridge for the 5th time when you know there's nothing good to eat.

e: I also have a soft spot for LOTRO which might be worth checking out if you really like LOTR just for the world/ questing but it's probably not a great time investment for a long term mmo at this point

I tried Neverwinter and really disliked it.

1) Storyline identical to Conan MMO but made far worse use of it.
2) Locations felt far less "real" than in Conan.
3) Queues for quest givers
4) Amazingly annoying economy completely skewed to Pay to Win.
5) After a good few hours in game I hadn't met one interesting character (all derivative and bland) or had one interesting experience. Everything very predictable and bland.

S.x.

I am playing a browser-based MMORPG called Agonia Lands[www.agonialands.com] a browser-based game with roots dating back to 2000, originally known as The Prophet's Song.

It's 100% free to play, with no pay-to-win elements or ads. The game offers a unique sandbox universe, allowing you to explore a completely original world where the path you take, the stats you build, and the relationships you form are entirely up to you. The community is strong and friendly, making it a great place for players to connect and enjoy the game together.

Yeah, this totally doesnt sound like an advertisement. That's not only not allowed, but also an absolutely unnecessary necro of a 4 year old thread.
