Steam download got slower out of nowhere?

about a week ago i was downloading everything with atleast 9 mbps of download speed and for the last couple of days im downloading with 980 kbps wtf is wrong?

yo, im having the same issue since last night. a lot of people posted stuff like: go change your download region, go clear your download cache, go re-install steam. if its working for them, k lol. for me and most of the other people its not. its a problem from steam itself. the only thing we can do is wait till they have things figured out and release a fix

same i get 12mb now im getting 800kb ??

yeh same 2 days ago i had over 15MB/S then ran into a disk error that kept popping up so i had to reinstall.
decided to start downloading games again yesterday and cant get over 300kb/s its so crap

Yeah i just noticed that! 170 MB 15-20 mins to download...thats not normal

I have this for a month or so right now.
Restarting the Router usually helps for a few hours, but its coming back always.
Atm downloading with max of I think about 2 mb/s

Its definitely a Steam related thing, as i can still do fullspeed downloads on every other launcher or browser.

I was thinking about this as some kind of internal covid-setting from valve?
Like it is on youtube which is choosing a lower resolution for new opened videos to save traffic.

Idk but it probably is not hitting everyone, otherwise Forums would be full of this....
