Persona name and nickname history removed?

I do not know why my name would be removed. It used to be "your dog idiot" told by a Russian dude in a CS:GO video, and yet I wake up with my name removed.

You should have received a message regarding the User Generated Content (UGC) removal.

You don't get that chance, you broke Steam's terms and have had your persona wiped, if you continue to break it you'll get a community ban and never be able to change it.

There is though, OP could have easily had some other name that got reported but changed to what the had when support finally acted on it.

They aren't so much changing OP's name as they are removing the ability for OP to use the name feature at all for the duration of the punishment.

It should have said in the notification you got. If not, ask support along with your other question.

If your name was removed it was beyond unacceptable. I doubt the name listed was the offending name.

If it's in the persona history then you broke the rules of Steam. I report profiles all the time for persona history containing very bad content.

thats not only silly but shady, if I rename myself to "Suckmyballs" for 2min just to troll my friend it should be noones buisness

Then remember to clear your alias history because it's publicly available on your page even if your profile is 100% private. (And you shouldn't be using a name like that anyways)
