for now, the closest you'll get for indie videogame discovery is using Steam's interactive recommender ( https://store.steampowered.com/recommender/ ) and cranking the «popularity» slider to «niche»
also i'm sure you can find lots of indie game steam curators
Hi thank you for sharing that link it is very useful. How do i get to it without the link though incase i want to keep using it over and over again i don't see it anywhere in the steam client UI or menu's?
I think this is the sixth game festival. It started from last year. The next one is going to be on Feb 2022. There is total of three game festivals per year.
The games that are shown this month festival are planned for "To be released between October 7, 2021 and May 1, 2022" as per https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/marketing/steamnextfest/2021oct
Yeah steam has plenty of games most are hidden. You will have to keep finding those titles using the tags, curator & recommender.
I follow this curator :-
https://store.steampowered.com/curator/35411526-Wholesome-Games-/
https://store.steampowered.com/curator/6856591-Designer-Plays/
https://store.steampowered.com/curator/6856269-Just-Good-PC-Games/
Thank you also i will check it out. The recommender this morning alone i have found 10 games i have never heard of which are out and look awesome so that was exactly what i needed :)
As others said, curators can help in that. I use genre specific curators for discoverability, as in I don't care about the reviews but they drop names that I can check out.
from the store's main page, click «Your Store» on the top -> «Interactive recommender» (7th option from the top)
