best COD alternative on steam? Need COD alternative game.

Best COD alternative on steam going right now with similar gameplay ?
Please let me know. Not CSGO (alittle too slow paced and use to play it too much)

nah , i got the first insurgency game... seems it would be a good game, but didnt "feel" like a good game. just didnt like the feel. maybe the newer ones different i dont know. if COD was on steam , the newer ones, id consider buying it.. but every COD game that comes out just is worse than the last one and they suck your money dry. Im trying to find a alternative on steam.

Ironsight is definitely the best choice. The game's been out for several years now and was trending at launch. I suppose Halo 4 would be another alternative if you don't mind that.

I forgot to mention black squad. I kinda remember it had pay to win monetizations lol

Haven't played Call of Duty for a long time. My last was COD4. Played just campaign. You basically run, aim & shoot right?.

If so you could try Apex Legends, Paladins, Rogue Company. Team Fortress 2, Destiny 2. I'm sure they are more of them. If TitanFall 2 MP is active you should try that out as well but give Apex a try. You may like battle royale or maybe not.

So (assuming you're talking about the multiplayer experience), you're talking about a game that is/has:

- a modern setting/weapons
- fast-paced, non-tactical gameplay
- small-ish maps
- respawning

I think CoD dominates this field, because I can't think of many games that meet all the criteria. Insurgency games come closest I think, as they have all of these things, except their gameplay leans toward mid-paced and moderately tactical.

Back in the day, we had Blacklight games, which were pretty much a CoD analogue, until their owners intentionally ruined and abandoned them.

Maybe Titanfall? The setting is futuristic, but otherwise the games feel similar to CoD.

I would say that if you're willing to broaden your criteria toward more tactical, slower-paced, and larger map games, you should get Squad, which is one of the best objective-based FPS games out right now. And if the setting is negotiable, check out Rising Storm 2: Vietnam.
