It is the event going on with Steam. Developers are showing off games in development by giving us demos to try. I have loads of fun with it tonight going through 6 games and just added one to my wish list.
https://store.steampowered.com/sale/nextfest?
No matter what it is called I hope they do this again in the future.
Why is there no simple list to see all newly available demos?
and the LIVE broadcast thing in reality feels like 90% pre recorded videos... They could have handled that better.
That there's a button like "click here to see all new exclusive demos" without all the bling bling so we can see a simple and clean overview of them.
And that they really only show broadcasts that ARE live, not all the recorded things. If i wanna watch old videos i can just go to youtube instead.
I found a few games i like there, but it would probably be much more if the interface wouldn't be such a mess.
They have been doing it since last year. There is three games festival in a year so you rest assured they will continue since it is successful.
Then try the demo's.
The only games in the event that you can buy are pre-purchase and most don't fall into that category. The demos are for games that still have to be released.
Do I really have to go into the forums just so I can find a link to it
They had a banner at the top of the store page initially, but for some reason 2 hours ago they decided to replace that with a random publisher sale banner. *roll eyes*
The Next Fest banner still shows up on the store page of participating games though, so if you have any of them installed you can just navigate to their store page and click on the banner. Otherwise just look up a random Next demo, for example Hometopia.
Thanks, Amarinth. I was puzzled by the disappearance of the banner. Still have games to try out!
Why you be like that?
Geeze leave the darn banner up since the event is still going.
