Missing review text?

Hey all, whenever I visit games both in the Steam client and via a web browser, no matter what game I go to, the text in the reviews is completely missing. I see some of them have a "read more" option but clicking it doesn't do anything. Is anyone else encountering this? It doesn't make any sense, I've never had that sort of issue happen except for when it's a global issue on the site's end.

If anyone else has encountered this and knows how to fix it, I'd appreciate any and all suggestions!

Update 1: I noticed that using my browser's inspect element option shows that the text IS there, but it's completely missing from the page's rendering. If it were just on the client or the browser version, I would write it off as an issue with one or the other but it happens with all of them, including multiple different browsers (tested both Opera and Chrome).

Okay good, I'm glad I'm not alone. I've been having PC issues off and on for the past couple months and I was hoping this wasn't yet another one lol. Thanks for letting me know, both of you!

Yep. Just came in to say that the reviews are not rendering; I am on the Steam client.

The fact that you say it happens on both client and browser, makes me think it is not one of those regular ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ from one of the many client updates we have had in the last weeks.

Nothing to do with browser either, as Steam client, Opera, and Chrome are all chromium based, but I just looked on an old Firefox, and no text. Strange indeed.

Yeah, that's what I was figuring. Like I said, if it only happened in one, I could write it off as a strange bug on my end but the fact that it was across various browsers and multiple people are experiencing it... yeah, it has to be on Valve's end.

Same. I thought it was just that I was signed into Steam Beta, but I switched to main branch and there was still no visible review text.

Just saw another discussion, probably caused by maintenance, and it affects more things that just the reviews. Search results not showing up, problems with game tags, and even bundle information. So it appears to be a general issue with Steam servers.

Hmm hopefully Valve fixes this soon, it's more than a mild irritation. Thanks to everyone who is checking in. Hopefully, the more of us that mention the issue, the sooner it'll be resolved!

Apparently, bugs started about 12 hours ago, or even more, so…

I've also noticed that my Steam library seems to be taking a long time to load sometimes too, which is even more infuriating. This is why I prefer DRM-free gaming, issues like this don't affect that as much.
