If this is a game-specific issue, please find the game's forum hub and ask about it there.

If it's something that happens when you try to use the device with any game or product, ask Logitech, as it's not a Steam problem or product.

To be fair i was talking to someone who has the same steering wheel and might have had a similar problem

I haven't had a steering wheel since gaming HIDs still connected via serial port. Even so, Zekiran is on the money. Since you say the words "gaming software" I'm betting you're talking specifically about the Logitech Configurator or some such. You should websearch for 3rd Party gaming device configurators instead. You may pay some money for it, but if it supports your device and all the features and adjustments/tweaks you want then it's worth it.

For years I used the XBox virtual driver for my Logitech gamepad. Finally found a wired XBox controller for PC. Back then I used (and still use now) the XPAdder control mapping utility, both for keyboard-to-controller and controller-to-keyboard layouts. Different thing I know, just saying - those 3rd party configurators can be real gems.

We still don't know whether it's a game specific or product-related issue, so... be specific.

I don't have that specific model but I'd have thought it's in Logitech Profiler > Global Device Settings.
