Will Valve do something about CreamApi users?
I think it's illegal to get a free DLC, but I doubt valve will care about it.

Maybe they'll look into it...?

Thanks for the link. I'm just shock that there's no topic about this tool on all the steam discussions/steam related forums, not even on steam sub reddit. :steamfacepalm:

I think they are only in Game hubs talking about this. I'm sure the devs will look into it though.

This is the first time that I've heard about CreamAPI.

No surprise. Google suggests is a crack for Steam, so I'm guessing the "cream" is CRacked stEAM. It's always a bit confusing when trying to find stuff on piracy since they don't have a wikipedia-style collection of information, but it appears to specifically target games that have DLC content included in their main game distribution.

Contrary to normal cracks, this does not crack games, just certain unlock-style DLC. As such, I doubt this is a big deal for Steam as pirated games don't even use Steam at all, so this only targets a weird group of people who can't make up their mind -- they need to have the games on Steam, but want to pirate their unlock-style DLCs anyway.

Unfortunately there are people who buy games and people who steal games. It's been a never ending battle ever since I began gaming many many moons ago. People will find any excuse to justify it. Just keep reporting and move on. Let the higher ups figure it out. It's above our pay grades.

yeah, just be careful when you report people, because most of the time, because of over-zealous people, it's a false positive ban. Honestly, as many devs said, it's better to lose 5 bucks than banning people who actually bought and support the games, because bad publicity is a stigma you'll bring with you forever.
