i really need help with steam voice chat.
so my steam voice chat is not working properly, so when i use steam voice chat in a group or with anyone else i can't hear them talking and they can't hear me either, yet i can see my volume bar moving up and down, but when i called them via messenger or skype it worked. i'm really infuriating atm and i really needs help

Click on the gear icon on the left of the chat and check that under "voice" you've selected the right input and output device.

Check security settings in windows, If Steam is allowed to use the microphone.

Check ensure your settings are correct, or manually set the sources choosing your output, and input.

On Windows 10, ensure the Microphone is enable.

For Windows 10 1909 Build ensure the other setting is enable as well with the one above.

You may even try running Steam as admin as well.
