Purchasing a Bundle then purchasing for extra contents that both included the main game
Hello! I am investing in purchasing all Borderlands games and its contents on my new account.

Right now the sales of Borderlands are amazing. I want to get every ounce of contents of the franchise (except Tales, since I can't get that one, *cries*). Now I was doing some research, I wanted to buy The Borderlands Bundle which has a crazy 54 contents included. That's insane. However, it doesn't include the Borderlands 3 contents. I want the Super Deluxe contents as well and I wouldn't be able to purchase it again because I would already own Borderlands 3, correct?

Or does it work the other way around? I want to do this correctly and not mess it up, so if anyone understands the proper way of purchasing anything on Steam please explain it to me!

If you don't mind paying more, it might be better to get the Borderlands 3 pack first, then finish your collection.

Edit: You can buy the bundle first, but then you'll have to buy the season pass and like 4-5 other DLC around USD$5 to complete. So I think getting BL3 SD first actually might be cheaper assuming you completely lack the older games.

Thanks for the answer Karien; Though to get some of the deluxe DLC's from what I can tell you can only get them through the Super Deluxe packs unfortunately. As for the Bundle, that's a lot of items to go through to put in the cart, if they are all even sold individually.

I'm restarting form scratch on a brand new account because I just wanted to start over and fresh; As I said I'm just trying to full grasp on how to do this properly.

You can still get the collection after. It shows up for me even when I own the first 2 games complete and TPS base. What I'm not sure is if the price will change based on games you already own or not.

Oh! I understand what you're saying; Purchase the BL3 Deluxe and the complete BL bundle (even the BL3 already purchased being included) will still be purchasable.

The pricing doesn't really bother me, considering the insane deal of the bundle itself! (The season pass for BL3 will always be the most expensive of everything anyway).

Thus, if money isn't an issue, get the BL3SD first, then the collection. Basically the best value for everything outside of praying for a better sale/bundle on third party legit sites.

Gotcha, although I was testing it out on this account and since I already have all of the Borderlands, excluding 3, on this account, when I added the Bundle to the cart it says: "You already own some of the items in this bundle. This offer is only available when buying all items at the same time."

Honestly, I'm not sure how I overlooked this, but I just saw "The Handsome Jack Collection" which has 52 items within it, which doesn't include Borderlands 1 & 3. I just solved my worry and this thread ended up being unnecessary LOL!

Thank you for at least communicating! Much respect. In the end, getting it all in one bundle isn't worth it unless they add 3's DLC into it eventually.

Well, not being able to get the collection seems strange if they still push it on the page. Guess it's just dumb on the publisher's part. And yeah, the handsome bundle was the one I saw and thought you meant when you said collection.
