Game showed up as unpurchased in library, now it's completely gone.

So after restarting my computer, one of my games, Dishonored, showed up as unpurchased within my game library. I assumed that this was just some sort of fluke so I just uninstalled the game and hoped that I could just reinstall later and everything would be fine. But now the game is completely absent from my library after doing so.

When I go to the store page for the game I can still see the number of hours I logged onto the game and that all of my achievements are still there. The receipt can be seen in the steam support "Help" page for Dishonored as well. There is a "Play Now" icon on the store page that notes that the game is in my library, but is it really there? No. After clicking on the Play Now icon a new tab within steam opens stating that it is preparing the game for launch, but after 30 seconds it closes itself and refreshes the store page. All of the game files seem to be fine so I'm certain that this is an issue on Steam's part.

I've never seen or heard something like this happening to anyone I know before so any ideas would be very much appreciated.

It's an issue related to the Steam maintenance which happened today.

Just be patient and it will get fixed.

The same happened to me. Dozens of games are missing from my library, including ones that I purchased just today.


I read the post above. I was not aware there was going to be maintenance and that I am really glad to find this out. Hopefully my games will return soon.

Steam has this issue every week it seems, maybe its time for the CEO's to stop collecting our money till they can deliver thier products properly?

Every single one of my Bethesda/ Id Software games banished, except for Morrowind and Hexen 2 (probably because i have those 2 installed), and i can't even play them, it says i have to purchase.

Quake live just dissapeared for me.... says its in my library but i can't start, download... .. nothing. how do you fix this?

It's not a weekly issue. It's weekly maintenance.

The products in libraries showing up as not owned is the new part.

Same all my Bethesda/Id games are gone. Also my rockstar games are asking me to buy them all again. and a new game i just got like 40 mins ago PC Building simulator is not even showing up...

Okay, so apparently the fix to this issue is stupidly simple. All you need to do is sign out of steam then restart your computer as you're still signed out. If the issue persists after that then I don't know if anyone can help you.
