The way to play the Doom series. (Classic Doom Games ONLY)

So after playing the doom games I have decided to make a list of how you should play them

Doom: Play on Ultra Violence.it adds more enemies and back then they made it easier since FPS games were new.

Doom II: Play on Hurt Me Plenty. By this time I’d said thought that they should make the games harder as people were getting the hang of it. They were right but they overdid ultra violence and hurt me plenty is not to much easier.

Final Doom: Play on Hurt Me Plenty. Final doom was not professionally made by I’d as you may know. So both wads can be pretty hard. Play on Hurt Me Plenty.

Doom 64: This one is up to you but my best experience was on I own Doom. If your playing on n64 lower the difficulty as the n64 controller sucks.

If you want a real challenge, there are mods out there including ones that make the gore a lot better, finishing moves for weakened enemies, stuff of the sort. Brutal Doom, as ^Nyagatoro^ noted was the correct mod I was looking for

Zdoom is the name of the source port of doom, the mod you are thinking about is probably "brutal doom".

Oh btw I decided to try final doom on hey not to rough and I had ALOT more fun. I just said hurt me plenty as I never have the gut to go to easier difficulties and to be honest that’s why I don’t like final doom but if your new to doom and want to play the whole series, do the difficulties I listed and make sure to do final doom on hey not to rough.

Ultra violence is for doom 1 and doom 2 it is for players who have beaten doom 2 hurt me plenty. Play final doom to understand why the difficulty needs to be lowered

I have a completely absurd idea: I play the games as I see fit, without worrying about anyone else's opinion.

UV for a first timer? No way lol, DOOM isn't hard but someone who's only played modern shooters won't know about strafing, hitscan enemies

Doom 3 is the real classic game
