What is steam desktop available for streaming??
Hi, a person gave me access to his Steam account (yes, I know its against the rules) and ive been playing for 2 days and just now a notification popped up saying "steam desktop available for streaming". What does that mean? Can he stream whats on my monitor onto his device? Also, how to completely cut ties with his account if my PC is set as one of the authorized devices and should I have any privacy concerns in general?

You have concerns about privacy while openly admitting to using someone else's account?

Make your own account. They're free to create. Then have your "someone" family share their library to you. Then you're on your own account.

If its Steam & streaming then look here.

This is the only official information on Steam streaming "from one PC to another" at the moment; besides news articles.

Hi and thank you for replying. This is my account and I just logged into his and played. I uninstalled Steam app 10 min ago.

Im new to gaming and don't have any online friends to share their libraries with me and I met that person on a chat app. I understand that using someone elses account is against the rules but playing something besides demos was too tempting. I wont do it again. Thanks.
