Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets (pc)
Hi I wonder if some of you have trouble to run Harry Potter chamber of secrets on PC, i click on the exe file and is says do you want to run this as an administrator? i click yes and nothing happens. i heard that you can get the game run if you download an game.exe patch, but i dont know if thats legal. So i wonder if there is any "legal" ways to run the game? sorry for my bad english.

That game has DRM that isn't supported anymore on newer systems. There is no legal workaround for it.

DRM at its finest.. This is what it is for .. ultimately.. to take games away.. with no 'legal' recourse..

Nice .. love it.

You could consider installing the game on a VM running Windows Vista or older.

Feel free to build a cheap retro PC an install some Windows XP or 7 in it and you are good to Go

No one forces you to completely ignore older systems because of support end as well as no one forces you to play DRM dependant games.
My good old Athlon build runs my Rainbow Six and other older games just like charme

It's possible to install SafeDisc drivers from an earlier version of Windows, however, it isn't recommended. You may want to see if the developer or publisher has released a No CD patch, I know there's a few who released such patches.
