How do I purchase a game to my inventory?

Is there like a cool down to purchasing games to your inventory because I want to buy a game to my inventory and i click purchase as gift then it does not allow me to store it in my inventory. It just pops up with a list of people i can gift the game to. Where can i find the option to store a game in my inventory? I bought a game recently and stored it in my inv, idk why i cant do this one. Please help! thanks! sale ends on 5/15 btw! thanks!

You can't buy games to your inventory anymore.

Does that mean that publishers will no longer be able to offer the deals on buying four copies of a game (usually for slightly more than price of two) ? I really liked this because it enabled me to buy games for me and my two children and then give one away to a friend.

If you want to gift a game to a friend, you will need to have said friend in your friends list in order for him to receive it. If he does not accept the gift, then the purchase is refunded directly to the gift giver.

Yup, 4packs are a thing of the past. Maybe they will change it so you can buy a pack but have to send all the copies out at once. So you need 3 other people willing to play before you buy.
That could still work.

That could still work.

Disappointing something that was of value to the publishers and the customers has had to be stopped because of people abusing the systems. For multiplayer games in particular it meant you could be instantly sure your friends/ family could play and usually brought an increase in the player base.
