Can I play on steam remote with my pc on sleep mode?
Hey there, is it possible to play on tablet with the remote option of steam while keeping my pc on sleep mode? My main concern is power consumption so I'm wondering if I can use less power consumption while being on remote mode playing the game on my tablet.

No. The pc has to be running actively. In Sleep mode he is "off" just in a suspended state.
Your remote play device will show the PC as offline.

Put the PC in sleep mode.
Observe results.
Now you'll understand the first two responses.

You can setup some Wake-on-LAN feature and use it to bring your PC back online before connecting via Steam Remote Play

But as stated for the task of playing games your PC must be actively running

3 year old thread you just Necro'd

System requires Specific Wake on functions be turned on. Wake on Lan is why you can wake it at home. While you'll have the internet using same LAN connection you need to take extra steps for Wake to work from outside your LAN. Can't remember myself so can't explain how to do it
