Community contributor badge - irreplacable?

Hello there, I have got these new award badges. However I wish to have golden profile badges only.

I have bought trading cards, tried to replace the badge with the new golden badge and it seems to always stay in front of other badges...any idea how to fix this? Is it only temprorary problem? Or I will have to say goodbye to my golden profile because of these new badges?

Thanks anyone for help or a suggestion.

Update: Valve locked them back to the first 2 slots after the sale, again.

It makes 0 sense to me why they do this. At least make the badges look good if theyre going to be forced in my face forever.

Noticed that too. This is complete bs.
As I understand, the badges for timed events, such as sales, always occupy the 1st slot until the corresponding event is over, but since the "community rewards" are A) not limited by time, and B) can be updated over and over again, they will stick in the first 2 stots FOREVER.

Besides, the trick that removed one of the two community badges by simply changing your account's password no longer works...

It’s been left alone a bit longer than was the case during the referenced sale, so there’s a solid chance we’re in the clear and the badges won’t be re-locked to that profile section.

I actually was freed of these badges on 2 accounts already. Hopefully it Will be removed soon.
