What happens if i permanently removed a game from steam and got the game again retail?
Can i install it again with the steam cd key included inside?. Will it be the new cd-key what appears and counts in my library? Not treating to circunvent any vac-ban or anything i simply got gifted a boxed copy for a game i previously removed. Dont know if open and use it or what to do.

Permanently delete really just hides the game from your library. The key does not detach from your Steam account, and you cannot register the key to a different Steam account. If you permanently removed a game, you can restore it by going through the same process.

So i cannot use my new steam key either. Is that correct?

What do you mean new key?

I removed the game and got gifted a boxed copy that contains a steam key too. My question is if i can use that key again in my own account (different key for the same game) or if is better to simply gift it if i cant for whatever reason.

If you had the game on your Steam and permanently removed it, then just restore the original game. You can restore permanently deleted games. I can't think of why you'd want to have 2 copies of a game registered to your Steam account.

Thank you very much sir. I didt knew that you can restore that .Now i understand that the permanently remove is not that permanently... No use for a new steam key if is simply hidden then.

I got the false impression that removing the game was like deleting the key from your account alltogether so i was gonna use the new one. Now i can use the boxed copy elsewhere. You were very helpful, quick and kind :). The steam community is a pleasure as always.

Well, It works. I had to do it once, to get a more complete GotY editon instead of the orignal game. That are the only cases that make sense, replacing a game key with a better one.

You can restore and install the entire package at any time.

So if I buy a game and I delete it permanently from my account, I can restore it multiple times without paying for the game again?
Games are never "deleted" only hidden from view; however, Valve will gladly take your money even if you can simply reinstate the game from "perma deletion".

Yes. The REmove from account is really just a glorified 'Hide this game' option.
The system remembers your previous license and everything tied to that license , bans, etc
