Q: thumbs down on artwork/screenshot etc makes what?

hey i wondered, if i press thumbs down on a artwork etc, it will cause anything? cause i pressed thumbs up on one of mine, to know which dont delete and then pressed thumbs down to not have the thumb showing below it on my proifile. and now i am just curious. someone know?

In the top left corner you have several filter options such as "Most Popular Last [TIMESPAN]"
Thumbs Ups basically "group" or "order" them by the amount of thumbs ups. So the more thumb ups a post has the higher it is in the list.

However it might happen that different posts have the exact same amount of thumbs ups. In order to order them properly there is the second parameter: thumb downs

So lets say we have 3 screenshots with the same amount of thumb ups but the first one has no thumb downs the second one has one thumb down and the third one has two they will be arranged in that order where ever their group is placed in the entire list

Thats at least what I can tell based on past posts of myself as well as having an eye on communities over time. Since two screenshots or artworks very rarily have the same amount of thumbs ups I personally would declare the thumb down button as a useless gimmick for haters.

I see alot of places do this. Only show the count for thumbs up and not for thumbs down. Steam does this youtube. Why have a thumbs down button if you won't show the count.
