Patron/contributor badges disappeared

Me and my friend gave rewards to each other and got both event badges (Patron and Contributor). Today, after 3 days, my Patron and his Contributor badges disappeared, along with my reward on his screenshot. Strange enough, his reward on my screenshot remains, as well as the corresponding badges.

Did you refund a game? All the points earned from a game that is refunded will be deducted from your account and items bought with said points removed.

No, I didn't. Besides, the items are removed only if the points total goes negative, and I still have 3700+.

Mine "CONTRIBUTOR BADGE" disappeared too just now. But as I can see yours is back, did it came back automatically?

Basically if the person who gave you an award refundend something that yielded 'em points their points are revoked. If those points were spend on awarding your content the award is also removed.

I've read that it disappears due to changing the account password, in order to prevent points abuse in case the account was hijacked. And I changed my password that day indeed.
So I had to give another award to get the badge back.
