Any easier way to level up off steam sale?
Wondering if there is ANY other way to level up my account besides building the summer sale badge spending over $1 for 100XP. I have over 750k points and already got the points badge and added almost 30 new games but I've only gone from 337 to 338. I get that I'm not seeing much progress because I'm already really high leveled but mostly every other steam sale has a way to continuously gain xp for your steam account. Anyone have any ideas or info I'm missing?

Nope, only other way is crafting the sale badge from trading cards again and again.
And that will cost you a lot of money at your level to see any progress.

They clearly wanted to limit the amount of level gaining from points/tokens this time after the disaster of last years summer sale.

True, this year the badge is much more expensive. If the badge cost same, then last year exploit (buying keys from CS:GO store and resell on market) will happen again.

Last year's summer sale kerfuffle was an exception. Most events haven't really had a mechanism for infinite leveling like you're imagining. Especially after last year's kerfuffle. If you're hoping to gain more than a level or two off the event alone you're probably dreaming.

I wasn't specifying summer sale. The Lunar event also had a point system where you could use points for a $5 discount or things like the golden profile or continuously upgrading a badge. My point was that they ran events like the lunar new year that featured ways to continue earning large/meaningful amounts of xp and wasn't exploited in the same way that the 2019 summer sale was.

Thanks for the comments, I was just curious if there was an easier way yet. Perhaps over the lifespan of Steam Points they will add yearly/seasonal badges or something similar. I guess I'll just sit here and stare at my 757,049 Steam Points until I read a funny review :)

Maybe you can spam the award button on someone's review - will take 300 points per award sent. I have heard that you can do this on your own review. This would get you two badges, one for awarding points and one for receiving the awards. Only issue is you do not get rid of your points if you award yourself :)
The badges give a tiny amount of xp.
Not sure if you are into any of the items in the points shop. Might be worth a look. no xp for shopping though.

Yeah I was looking at that, sadly, if I were to try to build that badge it would only get me around 30,000 xp which isn't much for me :P

Just regarding the card badge someone mentioned. The first few days the card badge from the sale is always costly, after a week it usually goes down to a reasonable level (cards already dropped from 18 cents yesterday to 15 cents now, Canadian pennies specifically). So if you got spare cash still that'd prob be the fastest/most convenient way to do it :)

True. You can, however, leave a reward on a workshop item 5 times and a review 6 times so if you had 2nd account you could theoretically create a bunch of 1 sentence reviews, and then waste your points on rewarding those reviews. And then you could use the 2nd account to reward your main account's reviews and workshop items. This would take too long and only lands you 10xp per reward so it's basically not worth it :)

i just wanted to ask straight, whats the best way to increase ur steam level
is it still worth during a summer sale or did they nerf that?
im not that much into this thing knowledgewise and i thought i gonna ask after seeing this thread
and if theres not a sale going, is it worth to buy cheap games and get the cards?

thanks and have a nice day all :)

For me, buying the cheapest trading card sets instead of the games themselves has increased my level the most. Using steam points for the seasonal badge can help and whatever event is happening for a sale can help too. But, during the other 90% of the year I used the Steam Badge Pricelist by googling "steamexchange badge pricelist" and just buying the cheapest sets. You can also buy a bunch of TF2 keys, wait the 1 week trade hold, and then trade those keys to a bot profile on steam for trading card sets you don't have. Once you get to around my level badges you don't have become a lot more expensive and you kinda just become content.

Also, with steam sales/events, each time they do a new unique event is another opportunity for a great XP farm so stay vigilant. But the summer sale badge is a great option since you usually can infinitely upgrade it.

Hope this helped you out man; GL

You literally make badges from trading cards, that the fastest method as the answer hasn't changed for years.
