Go here...

https://help.steampowered.com/en/

Search and click on game, choose "I want to permanently remove..."

Removing is reversible if you change your mind at a later date.

See if it is listed here and can be removed that way.

The game will only installs itself when you asks it to do so.
If you want to remove the files just right click and select uninstall on the files.

friend I don't want to sound rude but it's obvious you doesn't know the problem I don't talk about uninstalling the game I talk about permanently deleting it from your Steam account i.e. stop showing the game on your profile this has no solution

To understand the problem better, why do you want to remove it? You can contact Steam Support and have them remove it.

is there a way to speak directly with steam support? that's likely? what are the steps?
-Williⱥm- Jun 21, 2020 @ 3:17am
do the test to install it and leave an image if you have the option to permanently delete it

Interestingly if I add the ?issueid=123 (which is remove from account) to the support page for it I get this message.

Oops, we couldn't find any active licenses for Alien Swarm on your account <usernamegoeshere>. This either means it's already removed or is unowned. If you are still seeing the game in your library it's possible you are seeing it due to family sharing from another account used on a shared pc.

I've had it since it first came out however many years ago... odd.

Well you can contact them by email though you can press the support tab and select the game. Afterwards you can select to remove the game from your account.

I hope that everything will be cleared up and we can all find a solution

until then the problem persists and no one finds a solution
