Playstation 4 Controller not recognized by PC at all.
Hello all, looking for a solution to a PS4 controller problem I'm having. Last time I used the PS4 controller on Steam Big Picture, it worked perfectly, no issues at all. Yesterday, I wanted to play a game with my PS4 controller so I plugged it in, the orange light flashed for a second, I opened Big Picture mode...and nothing. So I went on Google to find a solution and everything I've tried hasn't worked.

I've downloaded DS4windows - didn't work
I've tried multiple PS4 controllers - didn't work
I've tried updating any and all drivers I could think of - didn't work
I've tried multiple USB cables - didn't work
I've tried different USB ports - didn't work
I did plug in a Rock Candy brand Xbox 360 controller I have and that - DID WORK (However, I don't want to use that controller as it's not comfortable for me.)

I'm at my wits end with this problem so I'm turning to anyone who's had a similar experience to help me out!

For your information: When I plug the controller into the PC nothing happens on the PC end. No sounds or pop ups alerting that a device has been connected. I've looked under "Bluetooth and other devices" and "Devices and Printers" and neither places show anything connected. It's like the PC and controller are not communicating at all. Sorry for the wall of text but I wanted to be as thorough as possible with the information as to not get any, "unplug it and plug it back in" responses! Thank you.

Are you sure the controller is not dead? Try testing it with Gamepad Tester for example.
All of my controllers are fully charged.
ur cable prob broke or the slot you put the controller is also broke
