Keep EA games in library through EA Access?
I'm one of the gamers who owns most of the EA games now coming to Steam on Origin, and as such would of course like to have them here as well. As a lot of people have already asked, there is no way at the moment (and unfortunately probably won't be) to transfer your Origin copy to Steam (which would have been the nice thing to do after keeping all the games "hostage" on Origin all these years).

As I do not feel like rebuying two dozen games I already own and have already played (and do not really want to play again), I'm trying to figure out some other solution to getting these games into my library. And no, just adding them as a "non-steam game" is not enough; it does not track playtime, and the icon for the game disappears as soon as I uninstall the game, while the game title will remain as an "installed" game until I manually remove it.

Then it came to me; all F2P games I have played at some point still remain in my library, even though I technically do not "own" them. With EA Access coming to Steam, I thought maybe it might be possible to get it for one month, download all the games so they get added to my library, and then unsubscribing, thus keeping them in the library (albeit not playable) without needing to buy them all again. Do you think this will be possible, or is more likely the games will get removed from your library as soon as you unsubscribe from EA Access, just a refunded title does?

Add them to library as non steam games.
There is no real difference to having them on steam

The difference is that having it in the Steam library as a Steam game is, for one, more visually pleasing. The icons show up in your library, and your friends activity and community feed are visible. Also, there's the convenience of being able to set up a Steam Link Controller configuration for games that STILL don't have controller support (what the h*ck EA?). I would also be interested in transferring titles over to Steam, as I have a fairly extensive library in Origin (all the Bioware and C&C for a start), and was even planning a whole Dragon Age playthrough, and would honestly prefer to go through steam for that anyway since it's so much nicer as a platform/launcher in my opinion.
