I have EA Access on Xbox and Origin Access on PC... On EA network i have a BIG question and I need answers IMMEDIATELY!

When will EA Origin Access come to Steam as i see many games just got released or re-released on Steam via EA on sale etc but it's not worth it to buy the games on Steam for me I already own on both console and Origin and can play for five dollars or so a month on access but i got two years via Amazon for 40 dollars last black Friday so I'm good on that for awhile. My big question is not just when the service will be available on Steam but also what will happen to existing customers that want to switch over their subscription to Steam client? I really hope we can play with friends on Steam rather than having to buy the game twice or especially have two of the same subscriptions on PC... Does anybody have answers as called EA today and even they didn't have definitive answers of when the service will begin on Steam or what will happen to existing customers...

Yeah, no luck there. You will still need the Origin client on top of Steam.
All the EA games that came back to Steam the last few weeks and that are included in Access also need ORIGIN.
When you launch them on Steam you get prompted to also log into your Origin account.
Its the same system other 3rd party client publisher use on Steam like Rockstar or Ubisoft with UPLAY.

The chances that you will be able to use Access without also having Origin installed are pretty much zero.

ouch that hurts, but I'm sure you're right. Oh well, at least the games will finally have a lot of players... at least the good ones as the amount of users on Origin compared to Steam is probably thousands of times smaller. I don't know what Origin numbers are like but I do know that Steam has by far the highest amount of users, games and probably everything else. I hope one day Steam has a program like Gamepass or Access or even PSNOW even though the PS4 NOW service is pretty bad in comparison to Gamepass... Can you imagine how awesome that would be if Valve partnered with developers to bring a monthly game service to users on the Steam client... I would be a day one subscriber for whatever the cost would be as Steam has the best games as well easily.

I just checked Origin Access through Origin App and they completely changed the pricing either today or yesterday for membership. There is now an option for 99.99 for a Premium membership on Origin which includes all New games including Star Wars etc..

They did not change it for longer. You can get an expensive one with few more new games extra.

Yes, I'm aware, this offer is not on console is why i got confused as posted by a previous Steam member, thank you though. The real question is when it's coming to Steam and how it will be integrated for new users and current subscribers.

Don't expect too much. It's not like EA is giving up Origin -- Origin is their home platform, Steam is just a third-party. They won't do anything to let you "move" to Steam -- what would they gain from that?

In a way you're right... They would not gain money right away but it would certainly make loyal users that game on both platforms happy which would most likely lead to higher profits in the long term and more growth for the company as a whole, but yeah... This is EA were talking about, they aren't the best company. They have some good games, but yeah they are one of the most money hungry companies in gaming history that's a fact... So, yeah not expecting anything from them at this point..

I want to know that as well. I have a yearly ea access subscription and my concern is whether to wait to buy some games with the current sale like crysis 3 etc. or wait for the subscription to come to steam in order to have a 10% more discount like it is currently on origin.
