Non-Steam game disappear from favorites

I only use the favorites view. I've always added all my non-Steam games to that view for years. Now for a few months they disappeared and whenever I add them, minimize Steam and open it again they're gone from the favorites again. What's up with that?

Oh well, I just stopped using Steam's interface altogether. For years we've had to juggle around with shortcuts to simply be able to rename games correctly which was annoying by itself and now this is keeping me from adding non-Steam games to my favorites. I'm done. I simply added a folder as a toolbar on my start menu near the tray and I put all my games' shortcut there with the names I want in the order I want. Screw Steam.
