Steam won't accept my "captcha" for recovering an account

This is really annoying because I am clearly putting in the right code. When you ask to recover your account you are suppose to enter a code that is sent to your of choice email. When I enter that code correctly and press send, it says that steam had trouble verifying my captcha and tells me to complete the captcha again. When I do try it again it and put in the right code its "wrong" once again. I have gone to a point where I have exhausted it and now I have to wait a few hours. This is really frustrating because I have took photos of the code and what I am entering, and steam won't verify it that it's right. I've done with all caps and all lower case. I just don't get it, is steam broken or something. Excuse my but this is really annoying.

I feel for you, i blocked the recapcha domain and many websites and businesses expect me to train google's AI image recognition for free instead of any other security method to prove that I am not a robot and that as a human, I can train google's.

Reboot this from the dead! I'm so annoyed... tried to recover my son's account from multiple computers tonight. 20 minutes spent! WHAT A WASTE OF MY LIFE TO HELP GOOGLE's CAPTCHA... PLEASE knock it off STEAM!

You do realize that the profanity filter is optional now, right? I can see it. There is no need to try to bypass it.

Gotta "captcha" them all! Steam isn't broken, but something is clearly wrong. The question is, are you trying to log in through Steam or an Internet browser?

Captcha is an abomination. 7 different screens and then when I hit search and it says my captcha was bad. After about 20 minutes of this I finally remembered what I had changed my password to.
