How do i check my password without resetting it?

Greetings,
Guys like i'm in a deep trouble,I want to know my current steam password as i've forgetten my facebook account as well( can't reset) So i want to know my password for this account,
Same password is used for both.
Anything i can do to get my current password?

Nope. Passwords are stored in an encrypted format and can't be decrypted.

I'd suggest you hit up Steam Support!

I can't say for sure if they'll cooperate, but it's best if you try your chance!

No, why waste supports time with something they can't do and if they could they wont.

If you forgot your password, only way is to reset it, same goes for facebook.

There is a very good reason that this is not possible, it's a security feature.

I wasn't really hopeful that it would work anyways, doesn't mean I wouldn't try though, most time I'd waste would probably be few minutes of typing at most, no?

Since your using the same password on FB what browser are you using. if its Chrome
click on the bars top right> then settings>the first is auto sign in click on Passwords>> find FB and click on the eye to view it.

Why dont you type your passwords onto a text and we save it on an extermal drive.

I've literally tried every single step but still no luck ,i can reset steam password but my fb is somehow locked without any source to open it except for typing the correct password,
I've logged in to my fb account in my phone only, dunno what to do :/

passwords are hashed, there's no way to retrieve it - only way is to use a password reset / contact support if that does not work.

What you could do is try setup a new account - and using the password requirements try to come up with a password and you might remember what you previously had

Both Steam and Facebook have ways to recover an account. As long as the associated email account is up to date you should be able to reset the password for either account.

I've wasted alot of days and millions of passwords but can't get the password,Even contacted fb but they don't respond

Both Steam and Facebook have ways to recover an account. As long as the associated email account is up to date you should be able to reset the password for either account.

My ex Gf had the account and she had removed the email and associated my number in her account as well.After then i restored my password,I forgot the new one.

Everyone keeps the passwords encrypted and they can't be decrypted. So if you don't have access to the associated email account, you'll just have to guess the password. It's a good reason to have some kind of password manager as there's usually a way to get a logins real password.

Do you have a old machine you were logged into? I did that when I had to restart mine thank God the old computer was autosignin, if not maybe a qr code sign in from phone to whatever your useing

The OP played CS2 today, years after this post was made.

And the client didn't have a QR code back then.
