Both of which never had been that successfull. They had their hype with a pretty flat curve though. But it never took off as anyone ever desired so it is more like an enthusiasts feature. That said there are only a hand full of developers that ever had their fingers into this when developing a game.
On PC there are way too much possibilities to literally waste your time on such a thing especially with such a little interest in it. Not to mention the breakthroughs on AR / VR / MR not quite after said periods. So as far as I can tell your desired genre was a dead man walking right from the beginning and had been dead for quite a long time by now and I can't name a single game that works anywhere near similar to EyeToy or the MS-Store ones - I mean I can't even name a single one on the MS-Store actually...
I know a few mobile games that try to do the same but they are not very playable or at least enjoyable
When badge spam still creates necros nearly 9 years after it was replaced, you know Valve done messed up with that original task.
