Minecraft PS3 Controller stopped working

Please help! I have been playing Minecraft through Steam for over a year now. I configured my PS3 Controller and it has been working near perfectly for the same length of time.... until today. I logged on in the morning and all worked fine. I logged back on in the afternoon and the configuration in-game has gone pair-shaped. Left D-Pad is no longer recognised, 75% buttons not working and my jump button has become O instead of X. I have already tried logging in and out of Steam several times. I have also tried linking a different PS3 controller in case it was coming from the first one. Same problem. I checked my controller configuration on Minecraft on Steam and nothing has changed, all buttons are correctly allocated. I am running out of ideas. Really would appreciate any suggestions, thanks.

Did you configure your controller via Steam or via a third party driver?

I configured the controller via Steam. I have now found a solution thank you. I reconfigured it and tweaked it and also followed a few other pieces of advice from the community in another link. I have also uploaded my new configuration for all to access specifically for playing Minecraft with a PS3 controller. Thanks for asking :)
