Spoiler Images in Guides

Anyone know if there is a better way to temporarily hide images in a guide. The spoiler tag requires the user to mouse-over/hover to view but the image disappears once the user moves the mouse away. I would like an image to stay visible once a user reveals it.

The other annoying thing is a large image with spoiler tags is super ugly (a huge blank area with black space/spoiler tags at the top/bottom of the image). Is there a way for the user to 'collapse' or minimize a large image so it doesn't take up so much space?
