Relatar problema de tradução
For the same reasons described by these users, i'm of like mind. ADL won't gain any traction on Valve and neither is it their place to try force change on others or risk running their own morals off a cliff by being the opposite they represent, which is mostly political these days.
I just stated a truth, the character is banned. You can dress it up and put lipstick on that statement if you desire to do so of course.
Why can’t Matt Furie use it?
I paid for it and I can't use it so it's banned for me. Why do you have to play semantics what's the problem guy?
Evasion, instead, I see.
You bought the IP from Furie?
Besides, it's a market economy, if a cool game is not on Steam because the ADL says it cannot be, guess who will be moaning the loadest? That is also why steam has ratings for each game to assist us all in this area.
I don't think many people even know what the ADL is, so to say they have power is probably an overstatement, and thus does not worry most of us.
Especially during the c-virus, demands and outrage culture are being told to sit down, be quiet, mind your own business and grow a spine.
The long version:
This whole c-virus bit has actually severely damaged people/groups/entities that are attempting to exert control over others for what they personally dislike or perceive as an offense especially if within any given group/company/service/entity they see something they hate. Though, people especially in this lockdown time are sick and tired of people attempting to control them, and people that had platforms to shout from or punch at others with their offended attitude are being told to sit down and shutup.
ADL is attempting to bite at people, but now they're just some over-glorified citation source for people offended by things, used as a weapon for people that perceive offense where it's almost always a lack of understanding online culture and mockery; especially that people will defy whatever they label as "hate" or "offensive" because of how they are very much just another puppet of people that want to control everything that has any different perception of reality or views/politics.
They no longer have any sway except in spineless companies, or people that just don't want to report the completely hostile and outright illegal behavior of people that harass companies and their workers whenever they label something as "hate" or "offensive" whenever it's present at a targeted company or forbid any one person working for the company use something like pepe just to mock them or their political zombie followers.
actually I think the outrage culture has gotten more vocal and is still taking plenty of scalps. the world changed to where its full of whiney little +!? %/.
correct response is the middle finger to it all...
This is the best response til' they harass your employer and get you fired for daring to think differently. The outrage mob is dangerous to peaceful coexistance. They want people to adapt to their way or die. The normal person is caught in the crossfire.
