I want to delete the content in steam/userdata what is safe to remove?

I've read the above, but my userdata file has 3 gb of data, it can't all pertain to my current games. Anyone know what is safe to remove? If some of it is auto regenerated, that's fine, it should just be for current games etc?

I found 2.9gb of saved games in 2 of the folders. Deleted those manually. They pertain to one game, I don't need 2.9 gb of saved games. So I removed them. But can the rest be removed? Is it temp data?
