So I ordered a headset but I have no idea how long ago I did. I know I will get an email when I can complete the order but I deleted all my emails so I don't know when I placed the original order. Does anyone know if there is a way to check?

Especially since I really need it to be able to work effectively as a phd student...

That page doesn't say when I placed the order.

All it says is
"Valve Index Headset Ships after 6 weeks. We are experiencing shipping delays. Learn more.
You will receive Half-Life: Alyx when you complete payment shortly before your order ships. If you purchase the game before then, purchase price will be credited around the time it ships."

I'm not sure about that cause it always displays 8 weeks from the moment I ordered the kit...
And as it is said it will be shiped "AFTER" 8 weeks I think I won't see this headset before christmass T_T

Expect a LOOOOONG time. The shutdowns of nonessential businesses has meant that Valve won't even be able to open back up until the end of this month, at the earliest and only if approved by local health departments. Nothing is being assembled or shipped right now because they are temporarily closed. Even after they open, it will likely be in a limited capacity. Even then, the ability to operate can be rolled back to having nonessential businesses once again shut down.
