Logitech G27 racing wheel not detected by steam

Hey all,

I have a Logitech G27 racing wheel this wheel is fully installed and calibrated and works in Forza Horizon 4 and Need for Speed how ever steam out right does not recognise it I've tried everything from checking generic controller support ticking and un ticking all controller support restarts full re-installs and the issue still persists and no steam game will see it either so no focing it to see it either any clues?

If the games you try have Wheel Support then it should not matter if it is recognized by steam or not.

Yes Dirt 3 and Grid 2 are both also listed as compatible on the website for the wheel

As i play rarely racing games with mine....i remember that i had issued with dirt rally 1 (or 2) when some overlay (not sure if it was the steam one, the geforce experience one or something else) was active....and the wheel was not detected from the game at all until i turned it off.
Can not hurt to check that and see if it will help.

Your Steam Client offers a controller interface, it can cause problems if you are using another driver/app/emulator for your device.

There is a switch to turn these setting on/off for each game. Right click on the game in steam library and choose properties. "Steam Input Per-Game Setting" ; “Use your Global Steam Input" for on, "Force Off" to disable. Select Force Off.
