Actually, the unconfirmed leak has it from June 25th. Summer sale usually is late June the past years.

June 9th is the Game Festival: Summer edition, which is about demos.

The current Spring Cleaning event gives a badge. I don't think the Game Festival gives on, but the Summer sale will provide at least one badge (judging by the history).

The badge was busted and the average steam level went up by like 20-30 levels from just the event alone.
