If you're buying Steam wallet card, or being gifted Steam wallet card, or Steam gift funds, from another currency, you will be explained clearly that one currency will not be same as another, as it's not 1 to 1, it's whatever the current exchange rate, it explains exactly what you get when converting currency to your currency.
Example let say £1 GBP equal to $1.25 USD, so if your from UK, and friend gifted you $20 USD, you will get £15 GBP when it converts to your currency.
Heh, don’t worry about it - this kind of clanger isn’t exclusive to Aussies. There’s more than once that we’ve had to remind Canadians that there’s a difference between Canadian and US Dollars.
Me? I keep forgetting that the prices in the US store don’t include sales tax and it needs to be added before comparing regional prices...
