Ingame steam client freezes at popup windows
Does anyone know how to stop the ingame browser stop doing this or help with a fix?

Yea, does that a lot of times. only solution is restart the whole thing..

if ur ingame and the steam overlay locks up because of the browser, open task manager and kill the gameoverlayui task (something called gameoverlay and has the steam symbol)
Also, dont click on links in the gameoverlay, if you can just copy paste them yourself, thats one of the options to make it hang less.
I had these issues for about 1 1/2 years now but lately it seems like a lot more are having this issue.

Just joining in with same problem i guess.
My steam browser often freezes.
When i restart steamclient, 9 out of 10 times there is a steam popup news that allso opens at restart.
Makes me think that this popup steam news is a part of the problem, it wants to popup but cant and make the freezes ( load icon turns forever).
did some search but havent found a solution yet, i would apreciate any help, links to forums ect.
Could be some browser ad block could be so much more than i know but for now ill restart.
